Subbing for Maternity Leave; estimated time:  Sept. 28, 2018 to Dec. 14, 2018.  

Hours:  7:30-1:00 p.m.

• Carry out the lesson plans and assigned duties to the best of your abilities
• Assist with school newspaper
• Communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
• Assist students with questions
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
• Use relevant technology to support instruction
• Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, assignments as instructed by the teacher
• Enter grades on computer as instructed by the teacher
• Encourage, monitor, and promote the progress of individual students
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by enforcing rules and procedures
• Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school
• Fulfill the regular classroom teacher’s extra duties
• Promote the mission of the Sioux Falls Catholic School system
• Model in word and action the teachings of the Catholic Church
• Maintain the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which assigned
• Interact in a professional manner with students, staff, and parents
• Provide supervision to students at all times
• Maintain and respect confidentiality of student and school personnel information

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in English or higher from an accredited Institution
• Journalim preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Self-motivated with high energy
• High work standards
• Good problem solving and decision making skills
