PT/Seasonal (10:00-2:00 p.m.) for St. Katharine Drexel School
Assists students during lunch, records daily ticket information, and maintains the cafeteria.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean and sanitize kitchen area, utensils, pans, etc.
- Manage family accounts
- Send deposits to the Business Office
- Do daily paperwork to be sent to central kitchen
- Record daily lunch numbers
- Provide an orderly, healthy and enjoyable environment
- Prepare food on site as needed
- When there is a funeral at the parish: accommodations’ might be needed for serving the meal and help coordinate
- Serve food to students/staff
- Assist with low/negative lunch account balances
- Maintain dishwasher & order supplies
- Oversee and supervise food service staff (coordinate schedule, train, & assign duties)
- Coordinate volunteers, maintain schedule, and train volunteers as necessary
- Follow Health Department guidelines
- Maintain standard operating procedures
- Prepare for state inspections
- Promote school lunch programs
- Promote and maintain a positive environment
- Meet State & Federal Guidelines for food safety, preparation, etc.
- Attend in-service meetings and/or food service classes
- Additional various duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Comfort with basic computer skills: (Google & Nutrikids)
- Ability to work in extreme temperature changes
- Knowledge of basic food service
- ServSafe Certified
- Ability to handle multiple food service tasks
- Interpersonal skills – ability to relate to children in a caring manner
- Planning and organizational skills
- Team player/flexible
