FT Custodian:  11:00a.m.-7:30 p.m.

Keep all school facilities clean and orderly.  Maintain the best possible conditions for the education and health of children.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• All plumbing and electrical repair of school properties
• Maintenance of tractor, mower, snow blower and other equipment and tools used in grounds and building care
• Upkeep and attractiveness of buildings and grounds
• Preventative maintenance – waxing, sealing, patching, painting, etc.     
• Maintenance of boilers and furnaces
• Daily – clean and/or mop floors daily, disinfect bathrooms and drinking fountains, assist with minor repairs, supervise student workers, as necessary
• Clean snow from sidewalks, driveways and other areas on school grounds, as necessary
• Set up and take down equipment/chairs, etc. for all events at/related to the school
• When applicable, open and lock school buildings
• Promote a positive public image to students, staff and community through cooperation and attitude
• Various additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Self-starter, high energy
• Attention to detail, dependable and trustworthy
• Knowledge and skills in cleaning supplies and equipment, inventory control and time management
• Understand how role relates to the “whole picture” and SFCS Mission
• Ability to climb ladders, lift at least 50-80 lbs. and operate heavy machinery
