Are you passionate about the gaming industry? Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools is looking for an E-Sports coach to start and develop the brand new E-Sports Program! This position will contribute to the holistic education of our students, promote Catholic values, and nurture a positive gaming culture.

Responsibilities:
- Recruit, select, and train student athletes for competitive E-Sports teams.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for team members.
- Provide intentional social and spiritual growth opportunities.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive team environment that encourages growth, sportsmanship, and respect.
- Analyze game strategies, tactics, and opponents to develop effective game plans.
- Provide coaching during practice sessions and competitive matches.
- Promote strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills among team members.
- Infuse Catholic values, ethics, and principles into coaching and team culture.
- Encourage students to exhibit good sportsmanship, respect, and integrity both in-game and outside of it.
- Help students understand the balance between gaming and other responsibilities.
- Focus on individual player skill improvement, helping students reach their full potential.
- Stay updated on game meta, mechanics, and strategies.
- Arrange for skill-building workshops, guest speakers, and practice matches
- Coordinate and schedule competitive matches, scrimmages, and tournaments.
- Ensure all students meet eligibility requirements for E-Sports competitions.
- Travel with the team to away games and tournaments as needed.
- Oversee the maintenance and proper use of gaming equipment and technology.
- Collaborate with school IT staff to address technical issues.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, school administrators, and the local E-Sports community.
- Organize and host E-Sports events and fundraisers.
- Promote the E-Sports program within the school and the wider community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
- In-depth knowledge and experience in E-Sports, particularly in the games played at the high school level.
- Coaching experience in E-Sports or traditional sports.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to the Catholic faith and willingness to integrate Catholic values into coaching.
- Ability to maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful gaming environment.
- Willingness to adhere to all school policies and regulations.
